How long does an epoxy driveway last?

It can last many years (often 5-10+ with good care) before needing re-coating. Sun exposure, vehicle traffic, and the thickness/quality of the epoxy layer all affect its lifespan.

Is epoxy safe for driveways in hot weather?

It depends, epoxy may soften or suffer “hot-tire pickup” when vehicles with hot tires sit on it under sun. Using UV-stable topcoats and heat-resistant formulations helps reduce those problems.

Will epoxy driveway coatings slip when wet?

Smooth epoxy surfaces can become slippery in rain or moisture. Adding non-slip additives or textures gives better grip and improves safety.

What are the main drawbacks of epoxy for driveways?
